sailing, sailing, and more sailing

Well, both of us just got done with our respective sailing events this weekend. I believe David had a moore 24 event in Santa Cruz, and as for myself, I had 6 days of practice and racing for the Rolex Big Boat Series. It was a very intense week of sailing with two world class sailors. I learned a lot.

The new mast and sails then we're on our way!

Mikey and I have started trying to be ready for next years worlds. We have only a few months and need to get the new all carbon mast and new sails to be able to compete in this event. If we make worlds we will also do OCR's in Miami. OCR's are our chance to make the US sailing team and continue to the next level in sailing. We will start to practice on the old style rig as of now and hopefully manage to fund a new rig and all the event expenses before November. If we can pull off getting a new rig by November we will be on track to compete at these world class events.

And it begins

Today, we have officially decided to start a campaign for the 2010 49er World championships and the 2010 Rolex Miami Olympic Class Regatta, and hopefully the 2012 Olympics in London.

Hopefully we will be able to pull the funding and practice in to complete our goal.
